Coming Around Again

My love affair with my new Nikon Z8 and 180-600mm lens continues this month with some images taken in my local park. The crispness of the images never gets old for me to see when I load them up onto the computer and those swan images were no exception.

One species that I am yet to get an image of I’m happy with is the Dipper. This species inhabits a specific section of river not far from my house. The only issue is that where they are found its in a gorge with trees all around blocking out any direct sunlight. This was pushing my 180-600mm lens way over its limits in terms of ISO so getting a photo was very difficult indeed.

These images were all taken with the inbuilt crop, as well so 20 megapixels rather than the full 45mp. Even at 20mp these images are clear and crisp, so I am finding that i’m using this more often than not when I want to get that little bit closer to the action.

The Nikon was however left behind for my next set of images that will take up the rest of this blog post. A trip to Poland was up to bat, taking in both Krakow and Warsaw, so I decided to only take my trusty FujiFilm X100V which always works well on these city visits where I need a small, un-noticeable option I can keep on me throughout the day.

Krakow

The trip was action packed with trips to Schindler’s factory in Krakow and the national museum in Warsaw making up only part of the 6 night trip.

Warsaw

A trip to Serbia is up next month so I will switch things up and take my X-T5 as this will give me a little more versatility than the X100V as I travel around visiting the country for 5 nights.
